How does he do it, time and again? What we love about this (and James Perse’s casual shirts in general,) is his fine ability to take something simple, and do it in only the finest stitching, fabric, and shaping. With every one of his basic pieces, you always know that you’ll be getting a supremely well-done and beautifully fitted garment. (Aside from offer top of the line construction and materials, JP also boasts a far more precise size range, numbered from one to four. Gone are the days of small, medium, and large! His unique sizing enables you to snag the perfect fit for your body type.) And, for those of you wondering what you can pair with one of his lovely cotton pieces, we love a skinny jean or khaki pant. I know you’re wondering: what about shoes? Not to worry, pretty much anything from Converse tennis shoes to flip-flops will do the trick. Who knew casual could look so good?
For those of you who can appreciate the look and fit of a James Perse choice, but are looking for a little detailing in your next casual shirt (without compromising quality), you definitely want to check out Splendid. Their ‘Striped Tee’ is a prime example of a classic shirt with a little oomph. This long sleeve, rounded v-neck top boasts three-quarter length sleeves, complete with banded cuffs. Its Supima cotton/modal combination makes for Splendid’s ridiculously soft, stretchy, ultra comfortable feel. You’ll definitely not only look good, but feel fabulous, too! We love the playful stripes that accent the plum color and make things a little more fun. Plus, as per usual, we love that this shirt is not only fashionable and comfortable, but socially conscious, as well. (All Splendid tops are made in the USA, and are known for their fiscal and social responsibility.) Pair this fun top with dark wash skinny jeans, or white shorts, and you’ll be all set for a fun, totally on-trend look.
